Tucker has filed for re-election as mayor of the Town of Tryon. Mr. Tucker is the Consumer Credit Officer at NCNB. A native of Spartanburg, he attended Spartanburg Junior College and Wofford College, studying Business Administra tion. He came to Tryon 12 years ago and has been active in community affairs. He has served as president of the Polk County Jaycees, State Chairman of the Cystic Fibrosis, President of the Tryon Boosters Club and President of the Polk County Little League. He was given the distinguished Service Award in 1977 by the Polk County Jaycees and has served as a member of the Tryon Youth Board. A New Arrival Mr. and Mrs. Choya McEntire of Rt. 1, Tryon are parents of a daughter, Heather Cecilia, born September 13th at Spartanburg General Hospital. Heather weights 6 lbs., 8 ozs. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul McEntire of Rt. 1, Tryon and the maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Blackwell, also of Rt. 1, Tryon. Homecoming At Friendship Ch.
