Miss Covil, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Covil, was one of the senior attendants on the 1981 Homecoming Court. Miss Covil was nominated to the court by senior football player David Kuether. Miss Covil was crowned by Miss Lisa Preston, Miss Tiger 1980, and the captains of the football team. She was chosen Miss Tiger in a vote conducted by the members of the 1981 football team. Miss Arledge is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earl Arledge and was chosen from among the senior attendants on the homecoming court by a vote of the student body. Miss Arledge was nominated to the court by Todd Constance a senior member of the Tryon Tiger football team. Miss Arledge received her crown from Miss Sheri Sumrney, the 1980 Homecoming Queen, and the captains of the 1981 football team.
