Woman Of The Day
Betty K. Brewer
Named as Woman of the Day
during the week of Oct. 18 — 24 by
the Thermal Belt BPW Club was
Betty Kell Brewer.
She is a graduate of Shaw High,
Cleveland, Ohio and Case
Western Reserve University in
Cleveland. She received her
Masters in Education from
Western Carolina University at
Cullowhee
Mrs. Brewer is guidance
Counselor - grades 7 - 12 at
Polk Central High School as well
as physics teacher. Prior to this
she taught science, biology,
chemistry and physics at Tryon
High School. She has been active
in the Tryon Presbyterian
Church where she served as
organist and choir director for 20
years. She has directed the Tryon
Youth Center productions of “Lil
Abner ” “Finean s Rainbow ,
“Annie Get Your Gun” and
