Tonight the Landrum

homecoming against Edneyville
and Polk Central travels to Tryon
for the championship of Polk
County.
Edneyville at Landrum
The Edneyville Yellowjackets
invade Landrum tonight.
Landrum is 6-3, but lost 21-6
Friday night to Dixie. Both
Edneyville and Landrum are the
runner-up teams in their
conference and will participate in
the state playoffs. It should be a
close, but Edneyville seems to be
improving more than Landrum.
Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
Polk Central at Tryon
Neither team has much of a
record, but it should still be a
great game. Tryon is 1-8 and Polk

don't count. Polk Central in a
close one. Kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

School Vandalism
Vandalism and larceny has
become a problem at schools in
District 1 and the board of
trustees on Tuesday night
discussed the possibility of
installing alarm systems at the
schools.
More than $28,000 worth of
equipment has been stolen over
the past two years. Slightly less
than half has been recovered
Superintendent H. E. Hipp said
the cost of installing the alarms
could range from $1,200 to $2,000
per school. No action was taken
on the matter.
