Vol. 54 — No. 210
Weather Tuesday: high 54, low
37, hum. 44%. Wednesday
morning was sunny and a perfect
fall morning.
We hope that everyone had a
fine Thanksgiving All of us have
many things to be thankful for.
Often we don’t open our eyes and
see the beautiful scenery, trees,
flowers, etc. The mountains
never look the same, they are
constantly changing Some of us
go about day to day and never
notice the beautiful things that
are free. We don't have to pay for
them and they are here for
everyone to enjoy.
Inflation tumbled to an annual
rate of 4.4 percent last month as
housing costs flattened out and
food prices rose only moderately
the government said Tuesday.
Some major banks lowered
their prime lending rate 14
percentage point to 16% Tuesday,
the lowest level since last
November.
From 1 to 8 inches of snow fell
Tuesday morning on many
mountain counties in western
North Carolina.
There is a Kiln Opening today
at 11 a.m. at the Little Mountain
Pottery.
