on Big Level Road Tuesday about
1 a.m. A Henderson County
Highway Patrolman investigated
the accident. No one was injured
in the accident.
A massive slide dumped tons of
rock on 1-40 near Waterville early
Monday, injuring the occupants
of at least one car and blocking
the highway that will serve as
North Carolina's major route to
the World's Fair in Knoxville in
May.

to the boys team was Tony
Cunningham of Tryon. Named to

Pace of Landrum.
Brenda Keys of Tryon and
Tawana Rickman of Polk Central
were named to the Honorable
Mention on the girls team.
“Tony Cunningham has led
Tryon to the North Caorlina Class
A state finals the past two years.
The 6-2 senior guard has been a
steady preformer for the Tigers
during his three-year career. He
totaled 559 points in 29 games this
season fora 19.3 point average.
He also averaged 5.1 rebounds,
five steals, four assists in 29
games and is a highly touted
small college prospect.”
