As a part of the Tryon Day, there will be two showing of Tryon Early On at the Fine Arts Center on Saturday at 12:30 and 2 p.m. It is a presentation of early pictures of Tryon, compiled and narrated by Mrs. Norme Frost. Some of the pictures show Melrose Avenue denuded of trees and only one house, another shows Trade Street as a sea of mud with horses and buggies at the hitching posts. It is sponsored by the Polk County Historical Association. Junior Horse Show Is Saturday At 10 A.M. The Cotton Patch Junior Horse Show will be held Saturday, April 10th at the Cotton Patch bottoms beginning at 10 a.m. Bruce Rosenbaumm of Charleston, S.C. will be the judge. The morning classes are for children 13 years of age and under and the afternoon classes are for children ages 14—19. Mrs. W. E. Kuhn and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Pack are co- chairmen. Everyone is invited. Fire Burns Home The Landrum Volunteer Fire Department was called to the home of Billy Joe Lockhart in the Oak Grove Community Tuesday about 1 p.m. The house had extensive fire and heat damage.
