Home Coming
At Faith Baptist
This is Homecoming Weekend
at Faith Baptist Church.
Saturday at 5 p.m. there will be a
Fellowship Meal, honoring the
Rev. and Mrs. Tom Canady and
their children, Shannon, Kristi
and Brooke. The Canadys will
show slides and tell of their work
in Honduras. They are Southern
Baptist Missionaries on furlough.
Mr. Canady is a former pastor of
Faith and Mrs. Canady a former
teacher in the Tryon School.
Sunday Mr. Canady will bring
the Homecoming message at the
11 a.m. service. Lunch will be
served at noon, followed by an
afternoon fellowship. Rev. John
Roger, pastor, said that all are
invited.
A New Arrival
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Callebs
(Terry Bell) of Somerset,
Kentucky, are parents of a
daughter, Jessica Elizabeth,
born April 2nd. She weighed 7 lbs.
13 oz. Jessica has a sister,
Jennifer Lee’Ann, who is 3 years
old.
Maternal grandparents are Mr
and Mrs. Ed Bell of Rt. 1.
Columbus.

Election Board
Makes Appointments
The Polk County Election
Board has named four
individuals to go to Jamestown,
N Y to learn how to set up voting
machines. The two Republicans,
recommended by the Polk
County Republican Executive
Committee are Marvin Arledge
and Clarence Wilson. The two
Democrats recommended by the
Polk County Democratic
Executive Committee are David
Cantrell and Elton Cochran. They
leave Sunday for Jamestown
and return on Tuesday.

The 1st annual Windbrook
Farm Horse Show will be held
Sat., April 17th, beginning at 9
a.m. at Lee and Amanda Cone's
Windbrook Farm in Gowensville,
S.C. The public is invited.
Classes will be held over fences
and on the flat for short stirrups,
ponys, equitation, children's
hunters, Jr./Amateur, special
low, Green and non-thoroughbred
