Crime Watch
If you are interested in forming
a Crime Watch program, there
will be an open meeting for the
Landrum, Gowensville and
Campobello areas on Wednesday
at The Barn Door in Landrum at
7:30 p m. The meeting will be

etc. These inquiries came from
Illinois, Conn., N. Y., Hawaii,
Mass., Mich., Wise., Florida,
Ohio. Texas, Indiana, N.H.,
Vermont, Washington The
largest number of inquiries (8)
came from Florida

Upper State A
LIBERTY - Renee Kale of
Landrum qualified for the state A
track meet as she recorded her
best time ever in the 400 meters
(1:01.6) and finished third at the
Upper State Meet Thursday.
Melissa Williams of SCSDB
finished first in the 100 meters.
In the boys meet, Barry
Thompson of Landrum, recorded
his best time of 10:28.0 in the two-
mile run. Keith Green, also of
Landrum, qualified in the two-
mile. Thompson finished second
in the race and Green was fourth.
Mark Miller, in the shot put,
threw his best distance ever of 42-
10 in qualifying for the state
meet. He finished in second —

Hendon Representative
To Visit County
A representative from
Congressman Bill Hendon’s
District Office will be in
Columbus Thursday, May 13th at
10:00 a.m. in the conference room
of the Courthouse Annex.
Representatives from
Hendon’s office are meeting with
constituents in each county of the
11th Congressional District to
hear their views and comments
as well as any problems they may
be having with the Federal
Government
