Phoenix Cable
To Wire Green Creek
Phoenix Cable will soon begin
wiring the Sunny View area of
Polk County, and has decided to
extend its service down Rt. 9 to
Green Creek and Sandy Plains.
Phoenix assistant vice president
Chuck Himelrick told The
Bulletin Monday.
The company, which was
approved by the county to
operate in the Sunny View area
last fall, operates Mountains
Cablevision in Lake Lure.
Himelrick said his company
has finished gelling permits to
use the power poles in the Sunny
View area from Duke Power and
Rutherford Electric Association.

The Cherokee Braves
outscored the Polk County
Wolverines 102 to 92 Saturday
niglit in the 1-A Western Basket-
ball Sectionals at Tuscola High
School The Braves who are 20-6
advance to the Western
Regionalsat Hickory.
The Braves were hot as a
firecracker as they scored 31
points in the first quarter to lead
31-22. The Wolverines spent the
rest of the night trying to catch
up. The Braves had five players
and the Wolverines had four
players in double figures. The
Wolverines ended their season
with a 21-6 record
