May 3rd at 1:30 p.m in the Fellowship Hall of the Tryon Congregational Church Featured speaker will be Elizabeth Feil. Park Naturalist at Chimney Rock Park. A native of Germany. Mrs. Feil came to North Carolina in 1966 and to Asheville in 1977. She has been associated with Chimney Rock Park for the past three and a half years. While working for her Masters Degree in Botany from UNC Charlotte. Mrs. Feil chose the subject of “Floristics & Vegetation of Chimney Rock Park" as the subject of her thesis. This eventually lead to her present association with the park as the first park naturalist.
