AARP Meeting
A special effort is being made
to contact past as well as present
members of the Polk County
Chapter No. 2182 AARP.
The regular monthly meeting
will be held on Tuesday, May 15th
at 2 p.m. at the Congregational
Church on Melrose Ave.
Prior to the meeting, however,
there will be a covered dish
luncheon at 12:30 p.m. at which
time they will honor two fine
people who will be leaving the
area later this summer.

active Church and Community
members, are relocating to
Pennsylvania to be nearer to
their family. They will be sorely
missed.
Come join in bidding them well
in their new life. Bring a covered
dish for the luncheon, stay for the
meeting. The guest speaker will
be Polk County Historian, Homar
Jones. A short business meeting
will be held to bring everyone up
to date on the Chapter’s
activities, so it should be a most
enjoyable afternoon getting
together with past members and
the current ones as well. We look
forward to seeing you on the 15th.
