A parcel of land near Skyuka ACE Hardware in Lynn is being cleared by John Weicker of Peniel Road. Some had mistakenly thought this was the site of the new Trinity Lutheran Church. Trinity Pastor Ray Weber said his church site is adjacent to the Weicker property, but will not be developed for a couple years yet. Architect Ralph Sherer is working on building designs now. Weicher. who was unavailable for comment Monday morning, has had his property for sale for some time, and was apparently just cleaning it up. Dick Briggs of Landrum was recently published in Publisher s Auxiliary. the National Newspaper Association's trade journal. Rob McComas, and Chauncey Barber, members of the Polk Central Land Judging team, won the Mountain View Federation Land Judging Contest on Nov. 20. 1990, in Rutherford County.
