The weather Monday: RAIN,
RAIN, and MORE RAIN!
NOTHING BUT RAIN, CLOUDS.
DREARY JANUARY DAYS,
ONE AFTER ANOTHER. (Get a
grip. It's bound to stop
sometime.)
High, 56; low 45; hum. 85
percent and by 7 a.m. Tuesday,
ANOTHER .23 INCHES OF
RAIN. (Couldn’t it at least have
been beautiful, flaky, spirit
liftingsnow?)
Road maintenance crews were
re-installing the guard rails along
Hwy. 176 just below Melrose
Junction, where part of Warrior
Mountain fell last week. The huge
boulders have been removed, and
the pavement has been repaired.

maintenance shop said officials
hope to have the road open again
today (Wednesday), but he
couldn’t be sure the work would
be completed because of ALL
THAT RAIN. BONE-CHILLING.
COAT-DRENCHING. SIDE
WALK SLOPPING. ROAD
RUTTING RAIN.
Former county agricultural
extension service agent Paul
Culberson said Monday night that
he is always happy to see rain.
Yeah. sure, fine Paul. ENJOY
