It seemed like a major concern to many of the participants. Unfortunately, we were not equipped to answer these questions, although Dr. Bob Mowery, NCSU Equine Specialist, did help us understand the magnitude of this problem. In this day-in-age of lawsuits, we all would like to know where we stand in case of trouble. II is important to be responsible horse producers in that we try to prevent potential trouble. But no matter the “ounce of prevention” that potentially damaging “pound of trouble” weighs heavily on our mind! As you are probably aware of from past articles, the 1991 Foothills Regional Horse Seminar on January 17 and 18 does plan to address the subject of “Liability Laws Affecting Horse Owners” to be presented by Nathan Garren, Attorney At Continued On Back Page Indoor Track Meet The Wolverine men’s indoor track team recently traveled to the University of North Carolina campus for their first qualifying meet of the season.
