Columbus. The ICC library

They also carry ten daily
newspapers, from Atlanta to
New York.

The Landrum High School
varsity baseball team will host a
game with Christ Church today
while the junior varsity team
travels to Christ Church for a
game at the same time.
The Landrum girls softball
team will play at Whitmire
tomorrow at 4 p.m.
The Landrum High School
track squad will travel to Blue
Ridge tomorrow for a meet.
The Polk County track team
will travel to Hendersonville for
a meet tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
East Rutherford's tennis team
will venture into Harmon Field
for matches with Polk players
starting at 4 p.m.
Polk's varsity baseball team
will host a game with Madison
tomorrow at 4 p.m., while back
at Harmon Field the softball
team will be playing Madison
as well.

Deputy District Governor and

Tony Dalton will be the guest
speaker at the Tryon Lions Club
meeting on Tuesday, March 26
at 7 p.m. at the Western Steer
Steakhouse in Columbus.
Harold Taylor is in charge of
the program.
"Tire Dynamic Breakers" will
return to the Tryon Youth Cen
ter April 13 for a rhythm, beach
and blues concert performance
sponsored by the Polk Jaycces.

March 26, will feature a pre
sentation by Polk Central
School teacher, "Bo" Atwood
on the upcoming Second
Annual Very Special Art Festi
val on May 3rd at FENCE
Like the Special Olympics,
this Festival is an opportunity
for the handicapped and dis
abled children to celebrate and
share their accomplishments in
drama, music, literature and the
visual arts.
Very Special Arts is an inter
national organization dedicated
to enriching the lives of chil
dren, youths, and adults with
disabilities. It was founded in
1974 as an educational affiliate
of the John F. Kennedy Center
for the Performing Arts.
Performances, exhibitions,
workshops and training sessions
are conducted through Very
Special Arts programs in all 50
states. Forty nations around the
globe have affiliated with this
programs.
Very Special Arts welcomes
the participation and involve
ment of interested individuals
and organizations. Additional
funds to expand the various
programs in music, dance and
other art forms will enable the
staff and visiting artists to
encourage and develop these
talents.
