Local Buyers Nearer
To Deal On Red Fox
The group of Thermal Belt
residents which has been
patiently trying to buy Red Fox
Country Club can almost taste
success these days.
Tlie local buyers formed The
Club At Red Fox over a year
ago with 176 original members.
While negotiations dragged on,
that number dwindledby 20
percent to 141.
Now a drive for 100 new
members has begun and the
literature mailed last week to
prospects is brimming with
optimism.
"We are now pleased to report
that after considerable delays...
we are in a position to enter into
a purchase agreement for the
properties," the letter stated.
However, Tony Jackson, Red
Fox Country Club general
manager and director of golf,
said the local buyers' enthu
siasm may be based on a faulty
understanding of the current
situation.
"They are basing their optim
ism on the belief that no one
else is in the picture," Jackson
said. "However, I have a letter
of intent (to purchase the pro
perties) in my hands which was
received last week. It has
received favorable comment on
all sides and looks pretty good
at this point."
In addition, Jackson said
four other parties made on-site
inspections at Red Fox Country
Club last week.
The exact terms of the local

Communication
To The Editor:
Responding to your request
for opinions on printing court
results, I think it's a very good
community service. If people
are brought to court it’s news,
and that's your job.
They wouldn't be in court if
there were no cause so they
should have no complaints, and
if they arc not at fault that will
become known.
