"Tell people they don't have

they have to do is ask and I’ll
order them posters." He said
movie posters cost about $8
each.

Farwell Day
Committee Announces
Parade Participants
Over twenty units will join
the parade down Melrose Ave
nue September 21 to kick-off
Arthur Farwell Day activities,
committee organizers have
announced.
"We are delighted with the
way the parade has developed,"
says Committee Chairman
Mervin Oakes. "The commu
nity response to this occasion is
truly heart-warming."
Without neglecting the arts or
other community needs, Arthur
Farwell has been a part of
Tryon's equestrian community
for over forty years. Equestrian
groups have responded in kind,
each celebrating Arthur Farwell
Day in there own way. Since
Farwell served twice as Joint
Master of the Tryon Hounds,
organizers report that Ms.
George Hughston, Jr. has a
parade treat in store represent
ing that particular canine con
tingency.
Committee members also
suggest that passing motorists
might keep an eye out for
another four-leged critter,
Morris, Tryon's unofficial mas
cot and the official symbol of
the Tryon Riding and Hunt
Club.
According to Peyton Tabb,
TR&HC President, Morris has a
special greeting too for Arthur
Farwell Day.
And in keeping with the
occasion, FENCE, the Foothills
