Boyce Carswell began urging
people to document their valu
ables with pictures, and to
engrave serial numbers on items
without manufacturer's serial
numbers. The sheriff has an
engraver available to be bor
rowed by county residents, if
you want to take advantage of
this service.
What's happening:
The Dayton Ballet will per
form tonight at the Tryon Fine
Arts Center. Tickets for this
show are on sale now.
The Jaycees Halloween Party
will be held Friday at 8 p.m. at
the Harmon Field Log Cabin.
Shag, who will be 40 years old,
will provide the music. Tickets
will be available at the door, $3
a person, or $5 per couple.
Found-A-Friend will hold a
benefit yard sale Saturday at
Tryon High School starting at 9

Saluda Home Tour
The 3rd annual Saluda Home
Tour will take place on Sat.,
Dec. 7, 1991 from 5:30 to 8
p.m.
Transportation will be pro
vided starting from the parking
area of the First Baptist Church.
Refreshments will be served
during the tour in the church
fellowship hall.
The tour includes five homes
and the Macadonia Baptist
Church. Singing and entertain
ment will be part of the tour
which includes the homes of
Mr. and Mrs. Don Maynor,
Rev, and Mrs. Carl Mintz, Mr.
and Mrs. Craig Kirkpatride, Mr.
