Homer Dewitt Bradey, 84, of
Camphaven Manor Nursing
™e, Inman ’ dicd March 24
1992, after a long illness.
A native of Green Creek, he
was the husband of Grace Ben
nett Bradey of Columbus and
son of the late John Henry and
Precious Mae West Bradey.
He was a member and former
deacon of Green Creek First
Baptist Church and was a
retired farmer and truck driver
for Inman Laundry. He also was
employed 15 years with B and
B Cleaners in Chesnee.
Also surviving are three
daughters, Margaret Collins,
Alice Reynolds and Mary Kate
Owens of Columbus; three
sons, Dupree Bradey of Boiling
Springs, Franklin Delano Bra
dey of Columbus and John
Ralph Bradey of Fingerville;
two sisters, Mamie Seay and
Louise Johnson of Inman; two
brothers, Floyd Bradey of
Sparta, N.C., and John Landrum
Bradey of Inman; 16 grandchil
dren and 28 great-
grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m.
today at Green Creek First
Baptist Church by the Revs.
Carol Page, Jack Weaver and
Tom Dyer. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
The body will be in the
church at 2 p.m.
The family is at the home of a
son, Dupree Bradey, 506 Rain-
tow Lake Road, Spartanburg.

Fred Layton Gibbs
Fred Layton Gibbs, 69, of 426
Crestview Drive, Spartanburg,
died March 24, 1992, in Spar
tanburg Regional Medical Cen
ter.
A native of Spartanburg
County, he was the widower of
Modestine Kennedy Gibbs and
son of the late Melvin and
Jessie Belle Shaw Gibbs. He
was a member of St. Matthews
Episcopal Church and was
retired brick mason with
Christman & Parsons Contrac
tors. He was a master mason
and a member of Granard
Masonic Lodge No. 186 of
Gaffney. He was a Shriner and
a Navy veteran of World War
II.
Survivors include a daughter,
Kathi Gibbs Suttle of Landrum;
a son, Kenneth L. Tucker of
Greer; a brother, Francis E.
Gibbs of Spartanburg; one
grandchild; and several nieces
and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2
p.m. today in Sunset Memorial
Park by the Rev. Randall C.
Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to Hospice, c/o
Spartanburg Regional Medical
Center, 101 E. Wood St., Spar
tanburg, S.C. 29303.
