Political Philosophy,
Part II, April At ICC
Part II of a course on Political
Philosophy will begin on Tues
day, April 14, from 2 to 3:30
p.m. at the Polk County Cam
pus of Isothermal Community
College.
The course will meet each
Tuesday through May 5. Stu
dents need not have taken Part I
in order to take Part II. The
second part of the course will
cover the political theories of
Montesquieu, Rousseau, Madi
son, Hamilton, Jefferson, Mill
and Marx. Their views on some
of the following questions will
be discussed:
What is justice and a just
society or government? What
are the connections between
ethical theories and political
theories? What are the connec
tions between metaphysical
theories about human nature
and political theories? What is
the nature of democracy?
