Green Creek Flight
Festival Schedule
-.The Green Creek Festival of
Flight will be held on Saturday,
April 11th from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. on the grounds of the
Green Creek Elementary School
on Coxe Rd.
From 10 a.m. until noon, there
will be a kite-making workshop
with Rick Watson, model air
plane-building with John Trent,
and paper airplane lessons from
Becky Lewis.
Around noon hot dogs, cakes
and cookies will be sold by the
Boy Scouts of Troop 128, and
three ultra-lights will begin
circling the field, weather per
mitting.
Entertainment will start
shortly after noon and continue
until around 2 p.m. with Phil
and Gaye Johnson, Lazyboy
and the Recliners (Claude, Zeke
and Jacob Graves) and other
musicians performing.
Kite-flying will be encour
aged throughout the day and the
entertainment and workshops
will move inside in the event of
showers. The event is spon
sored by the Green Creek Com
munity Organization. It is free
of charge and open to kite-
enthusiasts and fun-lovers of
all ages.
