'The Promise
Of Living’
Mary Davis, director of the
Spring Concert, the annual
musical offering presented by
the Tryon Community Chorus
has announced the theme of
concert 1992 - The Promise of
Living: Growing, Giving, Sing
ing and Ihanksgiving.
Preparing a program which
will show the hope and fears,
the strengths and weakness, the
spirituality and humanity of all
of us. Mrs. Davis has drawn
from a deep treasure chest of
musical composition. These
range from Palestrina to our
own complex century; from the
formality of Europe to the high
stepping, brash optimism of an
emergent America. Some of it
will make you want to "sing-a
long." Plan on getting your
tickets early for the May 22 23
24 excitement at the Fine Arts
Theater.
