New Computers For Special Education
The entire Special Education staff of Polk County Schools spent a
day in March learning to generate instructional and behavioral
objectives from seven Dell lap-top computers recently purchased for
use in the schools. Leading the intensive training session at Stearns
Education Center in Columbus were George Dhioriss, President of
Learning Systems, Inc., and Terry McEntire, Director of Exceptional
Children's Programs. Working with new "IEP Writer" software
while Dhioriss looks on at right are, from left: Bo Attwood, Self-
Contained Special Education teacher at Polk Central; Norma Mills,
Preschool Handicapped teacher at the Jcrvey Palmer Building in
Tryon; and Mallory Tedesco, Special Education teacher at Polk
Central.
