Studying Our National Heritage
Fourth graders in Carlann Osborn's class at Saluda Sc 11 ™ 1
water, woodlands, and waste this year, aided by a grant from
FENCE and Partners Of The Americas for the purpose of Con
serving Our National Heritage in Polk County. In their co ™PI
hensive study of water quality, the fourth graders uscd w o‘cr testing
kits provided by the Pacolet Area Conservancy and a so built a
model of a watershed. In addition, the entire class visited county
departments such as Forestry, Health, Agricultural Extension, . .
Luke's Hospital, and the Polk County Commission. Above, with
