Smith, dated the 25th day of January. 1918, securing the pay ment of a bond of even date with said mortgage for $3,300, due the 1st day of January, 1919. and reg istered in Book D-2, page 267, in the office of the Register of Deed's of Columbus county. Second Mortgage executed by G. M. Jolly and wife. Laura E. Jolly, to R. F. Smith, dated the 16th day of December, 1918, securing the pay ment of a bond of even date with said mortgage for $1,200, due Au gust 1st, 1919, recorded in Book H-2. page 56, in the office of the Register of Deeds of Columbus coun ty. Both of which said mortgages were duly transferred to the Nation al Park Bank of New York for value: Default having been made in the payment of said bonds secured by said mortgages the undersigned mort gagee and transferee will on Monday, the 29th day of Sept, 1924, at the court house door in the town of Whiteville, Columbus county at 12 o'clock noon, sell at public auc tion to the highest bidder for cash, the following described tracts of land to pav the bonds secured by said mortgages: First Tract: Beginning on two black gums in the run of Grissett Swamp, thence N. 50, E. Tl poles to a stake; thence N. 6.5, E. 168 poles to a pine, thence N. 30, W. to a stake, the dividing line (run of Toms Branch) to a cart road, thence as the branch meanders to the lead ditch, thence r.aid ditch to a small white oak, thence S. to J. M. Jolly's corner, thence W. to the beginning, containing 94 1-2 acres, more or less. However, excepting being sold off to J. E. Simmons 12 acres and 5 acres in one tract and 25 acres in another tract to J. M. Simmons. Second Tract: Beginning at a stake L. C. Simmons corner and runs S. 65, W. 5 chains, and 69 links to a stake at L. C. Simmons fence, thence S. 6, W. 3 chains and 78 Links to a stake at the corner of L. C. Simmons fence, thence E. 14 chains and 85 links to a stake in Toms Branch, thence up the run of said branch to stake and pointers, thence due W. back to the beginning, con taining 6 acres, more or less. Being the same land conveyed by G. M. Jolly and wife to Ervin S. Garreil, dated September. 4th, 1919, recorded in book 103, page 58, records of Columbus county. Second tract: Beginning at a stake G. M. Jolly and J. A. Jolly corner corner ot the ditch, thence N. 24 E. 3 chains, 82 links to a corner of said ditch and stake, thence S. 62 E. 6 chains and 37 links to a small curve ! in said ditch, thence S. (T3 E. 3 chains and 50 links to a stake at sale i the corner of said ditch in J. M. D. btanley s line, thence with the ditch S. 21 1-2, W. 9 chains and 22 links to a stake on the" out e3ge of ditch in J. M. D. Long's line, thence N. 66 W. with the south edge of said ditch 21 chains to a cedlr stake on the south edge of said ditch, thence N. 1 W. 16 chains to a stake Elm and gum pointers, thence S. 77 W. 5 chains to a stake pine and gum pointers, thence N: 1, E. 19 chains to a cedar stake oii the S, edge of ditch, thence N. 29, W. 7 1-2 chains to the bend of said ditch, thence N. 25 W. 4 chains and 35 links to a stake at the crook of said ditch, W. east Todd's corner thence north twenty-five one half E. with the said ditch 6 chains 37 links to the beginning, containing 48 1-2 acres, and being the same tract of land described in a deed I. M. Todd, M. M. Todd, J. J. Todd and Helen Todd to J. W. Harrelson, J. W. Joy ner, dated the 2nd day of April, 1901, and registered in Book 22 of deeds, page 497, and 499 of records of Columbus county, office of Register of deeds, which see for further description, and being the same land intended to be described and designated in said decree as the first tract, the description therein being incorrect but the above de scription being the correct descrip tion of said land. Being the same land conveyed in a deed from G. M. 1 Jolly and wife to G. W. Stanley, I dated March 9. 1920, recorded in Book 112, page 380, Register of Deeds office of Columbus county. Fourth tract: Being tract No. 3, containing 28.80 acres and tract No. 6, containing 31.25 acres, or a total of 60.05 acres of a plat of property surveyed by J. W. Kelly for the Newberry Realty & Auction Com pany and sold at auction the 22nd day of October, 1919, and for a more complete description of said lands reference is had to a line tracing on record in the Register of Deeds office of Columbus County, at Whiteville, N. C. Being the same land conveyed in a deed from G. M. Jolly and wife to J. W. Jordon, dat ed October 22, 1919, recorded in Book 116, page 32 in the office of the Register of Deeds of Columbus county. Also being the same land described in mortgage executed by J. W. Jordon and wife to G. M. Jolly, dated October 22, 1919, registered in Book J-2, page 97, records of Co lumbus county.
