The director of the
Day/Night Treatment Pro
gram at the Council on Drug
Abuse (CODA) expressed
grave concern recently over
the possibility of the program
being moved inside Reynolds
Memorial Hospital. The De

recently informed the direc

Abuse (CODA) that the
program may be moved soon.
Reuben Gilliams, director of
the program, is opposed to the
move because of the “sterile
institutional setting of the
hospital” which is just what

the hospital,’’ Gilliams
warned, “it would dissipate

The move to Reynolds, if it
comes about, will be in July
when the contract signed with
the Department of Mental
Health comes up for renewal.
