He knew also i that if Nicodemus couldn't understand the simple things, he'd never believe higher things. Verse 13, 14 & 15 - Jesus is theonlyone who has come down and gone up again into heaven. Jesus would be lifted up to heaven by ascension and also by our praising and witnessing ^his name,?and glorifying Him believing and receiving eternal life. Verse 16 - God loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son to die a shameful death on the cross, but the beauty come in the resurrection. All so we could have eternal life with Him.
