Well those long casts were a great waste of toe and effort. The longer the cast, the less I wat?r one is able to cover. Short casts to the shoreline means more area covered and also a minimum of line stretch; a handicap when setting the hook. When a. catch is made make note of the cover and structure and water conditions, x depths tc. Fish similar areas and most lilcely your entire catch for that particular day will be taken under the same conditions. To establish patterns we try several lures in various covers and 5tr?ctures. When a Jure pays off we continue the use of that lure under the conditions that proved productive. IPn most cases the pattern will produce fish the remainder of that day. Tomorrow the pattern can- -4>e drastically ' ? _ changed. Settiiig patterns for any fresh water fish can be developed providing we use a sure fire element; concentration. March is the month to start throwing those plastic worms jjjgg 175 MUST AUG SQIQIT Gh.a 2 dr. fully JO/J equipped. FACTORY AIR. AM/ FM. vinyl roof, metallic blue. Nke new. 74 no $41QC 2 dr hardtop. [_ aroundr My favoritexolors are hla<^k and purple. Plastic worms can net some fine catches; real big ones. If you have never hung into a big bass, early spring is the best time to go after one. I am not partial to bass fishing, but big^ bass present a great challenge. ~l just love foolish. Bream on a flyrod or cr^ppie ' on a cane pole is a fishing delight. On a cane pole, a big catfish can be mighty stubborn lying on the bottom. I have never developed the^ 'Skill for hanging- carp. I learned that one must wait on the carp to take the bait and run, to me this seems like forever. The moment my line moves I can not hold still, I must $et my hook.
