Mrs, Annie Bell Joyner of 2923 Bon Air Avenue, who passed on Monday, August 22, 1977 was funeralized Saturday, Au gust 26, 1977 at the St. John Baptist Church. Dr. W.M. Adams officiated. Mrs. Joyner was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Joyner. She was a life long resident of Winston-Sa lem, N.C. She was employed at R.J. Rey nolds No. 12 Division, She was a member of the St. John Baptist Church where she served as President of the Pastor’s Aid Club; Brotherhood Club; Senior Choir; Trea surer of the Junior Choir and "a member of the Missionary. She belonged to the Magnolia Chapter No. 168 Order of the IJastem Star; Star Bright Hope Court No. 340, and the Daughter of Isis No. 220. Surviving are one dau ghter, Miss Margaret Deloise Joyner of the home; one sister Mrs. Thelma Joyner James of this city; two brothers, Henry Joyner of Cleve- )hio, and Herman Joyner of city; one grand-son, Sgt. Cleo H. Joyner of the U.S. Army; two great grand-children, Robin and Batholomew Williams of this city; three aunts, Ernie Joyner of Philadelphia, Pa.; Bea trice Hepler and Emma Joyner of this city; one uncle. Banner Joyner of Philadelphia, Pa., and a host of other relatives and friends. Howard-Robinson was in charge of services. By George Booie The family of Mrs. Sally Frances Van Eaton of 1219 E. 25th Street, who expired Sunday night, August 21, 1977 at the Forsyth Memorial Hospit al after an extended period of illness and was funeralized Thursday Au gust 25th at 4:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Forsyth Funeral Home with the Bishop Robert L. Carter officiating and interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery wish to thank their many friends for all acts of kindness during their hours of breave- ment. Mrs. Van Eaton was born in Mocksville, N.C. but had resided in this city for the past 45 years. She was a member of the Rising Star Miracle Cen ter, where Evang. Lucy Van Eaton is Pastor. Mrs. Van Eaton served as Mother of the church until the time of her death. Survivors include; one son, Mr. Henry Lewis Van Eaton; one brother, Mr. John G. Foster; one daughter-in-law, Evang. Lucy Van Eaton; one sister-in-law, Evang. Et hel P. Foster all of this city. Forsyth Funeral Home was' in charge of Services and arrangements. The 37th Annual Hines- Traynham F amily Reun ion was celebrated at the Clifton Grove Baptist Church Sunday, August 28, 1977. Rev. D.W. Kindle, Pastor of Clifton Grove Baptist Church, gave the call to worship. The morning services opened with a song by the Senoir Choir followed by a scripture lesson by the Pastor. President of the Reunion. The Choir sang a closing hymn and the Pastor, Rev. Kindle gave benediction closing the anniversary service. Dinner wasserved in the church hut. Officers of the Reunion are, Raymond Hines, President and Chairman of the Program Commit tee; Coy Traynham, Vice- President; Mrs. Helen Dungee, Assistant Chair Person of the Program Committee; Mrs. Eudora Robinson, Secretary; Mrs. Margaret Traynham, Assi stant Secretary; Mrs. Clorann Lindsay, Treasu rer, and Oliver Hines, Assistant Treasurer. The General Committee Members are Oliver Hines, Rev. Irvin Hines, Charles Lindsay, and Mrs. Eudora Robinson. On the Social Committee are the following; Mrs. Cloraan Lindsay, Mrs. Eudora Robinson, and Coy Trayn ham. Coy M.Traynham gave the Welcome Address and a short memorial was rendered by Charles Lindsay, Master of Cere mony. The Senior Choir sang a Memorial hymn and the Hines Sisters sang a selection followed by a solo by Mrs. Charlene Clinton. Recognition of visitors, sick and shut-ins, and out of town relatives was made by Raymond Hines, Miss Mercy Seat Crowned Mrs.Rhoda Lowery, one of the organizers of the North Winston Senior Citizens Club, now resid ing in Phila, Pa., was recently entertained while visiting here at the home of Mrs. Mary L. Fair. A buffet dinner was served to 20 members who greeted their former president heartily. Mrs. Lowery gave expressions of appreciation for the hospitality extended her. She was the first president of the club. Mrs. Rosa B. Evans, the present presi dent, gave remarks. The hostess was assis ted by Mrs. Martell Lyttle, Mrs. SaUie G. Mars Hill Observes Homecoming The Mercy Seat Holy Church closed their ann ual Youth Revival with the crowing of “Miss Mercy Seat” Sunday night, Aug. 28, 1977. Miss Cleatera 'Tyronica Gywnn was crowned “Miss Mercy Seat” by the last year queen Miss Cynthia Conrad. Mias Gywnn, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Cleo Gywnn Sr., she is an 8th grade student at Mineral Spring Jr. High School, where she is on the Student council, the Youth Fire Safety Council, among other activities, she is a member of the youth choir and Sunday School of the church. “Miss Jr. Mercy Seat” was Little Teresa Lime- burger, crowned by Little Miss Crystal Brown, last year's, “Miss Jr. Mercy Seat”. Miss Limebm-ger is the 4 year old daughter Mrs. Doretha Jackson, is supervisor of the Youth Department of the church. Revival Mars Hill B.
