The funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Massey Clement of 136 N. Dunleith Avenue, who died Monday, August 7, at the Forsyth Memorial Hospital, were held Saturday, August 12th at 1:30 p.m., at Goler Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church with Rev. H. C. Walser officiating. She was born in Rock Hilt, S.C., where she spent her early childhood. Mrs. Clement is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nita C. Matthews, of Wagram, N.C.^ two sons, George I. Clement, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Nathaniel D. Gement, of ^J^the home; one sister, Mrs. Effie M. Garrison, of Washington, D.C.; an aunt, Mrs. Mary Reid, of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren and several other relatives. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery. HowardRobinson was in charge of services. ### Mr. Henry Nebraska Clyburn, age 66, of 509 West 25th Street, expired Friday evening August 11th at Forsyth Memorial Hospital after an extended period of illness. Mr. Clyburn was bora m Vanwyck, S C. but had resided in this city for 48 years. . - He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a deacon, a choir director, Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Lay mans League and Group #8 Missionary Dept7~Mr. Clyburn previously served as choir Director for Emanuel Baptist, Zion Memorial Baptist and St.Stephens Baptist ChurchesTHe was a member of Red Rock Masonic Lodge #809 PHA and director of the Red Rock Masonic Choir. He was also ?member erf the Royal Arch No. 68 and the Winston-^ Salem Symphony Chorale. 7~ He was a retired employee of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. Factory #9Smoking,-where he worked for 41 years. Mr. Clyburn formerly operated the Clyburn Gulf Station at First and Claremont Ave. and then at 5th & Cleveland Ave. > His survivors include-the wife^MrsT-Pincelcolar Cly burn of the home, one daughter. Mrs. Barbara Clyburn Randall of Glenarden, Md., one son, Selwyn Clyburn of Washington, D.C., one brother, Selwyn Clyburn of Charlotte, N.C., one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, seven grandchildren thirteen sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Ch. with Dr. J. Ray Butler officiating. Burial was in Piedmont Mem. Gardens. Survivors are one son, James Melvin Stowe, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Willie Mae Stowe, both of Winston-Salem; 5 Grandchildren, Miss Dollette Stowe oi Houston, Texas, Miss Phylis Stowe, Melvin Stowe, James Stowe, Jr., and Michael Stowe, all of WinstonSalem; and 3 gread grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. Gaynell Ward of Shelby, N. C., Mrs. Hilda Rodgers and Mrs. Lula Jenkins, of the City; a host of other relatives and friends. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
