CLUB NOTES
The With-In the Picket Fence Flower Club made plans
j for an early?spring trip tn the Busch Gardens in
\ Williamsburg, Va., during its November monthly
meeting.
: j During the meeting, Mrs. Beulah Hickerson gave a
demonstration on how to dry, color and arrange ordinary
flowers into bouquets. Roses, ferns and wood flowers
were among the samples of her own work which Mrs.
hickerson presented.
At meeting's end, the club-was served dinner by- the
: host, Mrs. J.W. Gwyn. Mrs. Mildred Poindexter is club

The West Winston Civic Council will sponsor its annual
Christmas Party for Forsyth County patients at the John
Umstead Hospital, Butner, N.C. on Saturday, Dec. 9.
A bus will leave the Reynolds Health Center, 741
Highland Avenue at 11 a.m. Hazel Scott, one of the trip
coordinators along with Mary L Fair, called the trip "an
opportunity for you to lift the hearts of those in despair
' by spreading joy and good will."
