Temple ton Staff Writer Friday night pranksters knocked a hole in a street sign pointing to the , New Piedmont Repertory Company's production of "To Be Young, Gifted and Black" and spray-painted "white power" and the Nazi swastika on both sides of the sign. "Here we are doing a play talking about a better world for all of us, and this happened," said an angry director Coleman S. Freeman. The sign was located on Reynolda Road, just across from the Reynolda Hou$e entrance and in front of the Summit School, which allows the company use of its theatre for its season of plays. Freeman said the incident apparently happened last Friday night. /'When I came in for the Saturday performance, the actors and actresses were nervous," said Freeman. "They insisted on havihg someone watch the audience for any trouble." August 23. to 9 pm. Open Sunday 1-6 pm. Pferent.
