Baptist Church in honor of 1 Mrs. Bertha Penn last J Saturday. The location of < the party was a special treat for Penn, because she had 1 not been able to attend the ' _ i t ^ cnurcn lor the last seven _ years because of illness. The party was sponsored by several of Penn's relatives, along with members of the Missionary Society of the church, in honor of Penn's 80th birthday. The festivity began with a program which consisted of poems, words of tribute, and songs which expressed, not only appreciation, but also showed admiration for , the honoree. Among guests present were Reverend and Mrs. J.D. Ballard.
