Dr. Proctor, now senior minister of Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York City, is professor of education at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education in New Brunswick, N.J. He holds degrees from c: Virginia Union University and Boston University. He has held administrative positions with the United State Peace Corps in Nigeria and Washington. James Linville of Rock Hill Baptist Church in Walnut Cove. Elder Alonzo McCloud, pastor of Tabernacle of Faith Church, will be the guest speaker at the service Wednesday. The Rev. Ellis Austin, pastor of Exodus United Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker on Thursday and the Rev. Samuel Cornelius, pastor of New Jerusalem Baptist atured guest boards of the United Negro College Fund, Meharry Medical College, Wilberforce University, the Pension Board of American Baptists,' the'Institute for Poverty Research, the Overseas Development Council, the Institute for Services to Education, the John Dewey Association, and Middlesex General Hospital. He is also the author of "The Young Negro in America 1960-80." In addition to his many accomplishments, Proctor was named outstanding alumnus at Boston University in 1966.
