The theme for the program is "Drinking and Drugs are Killers - Not Thrillers." The seminar will be held in the ballroom of the Student Union Building on the campus of WSSU from 8:30 a.m. through 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. The seminar will feature several panelists. Greg Ayers will show a film from the drug council and lecture on drugs as killers. Arthur Mayes will address the problems of alcoholism; Dennis Twigs will talk about drugs and their effect on the mental and emotional states of beings; and the Rev. Moses Small's topic will be "Blowing Your Cool Through Drugs." Each chapter of TLOD has been requested by the national office to provide leadership in creating awareness about the problems of drug abuse and to educate the young people in the community about the causes and effects. In response to this request, the Top Teens director and advisors planned, designed and organized this seminar.
