The annual Women's Day
celebration will be held on Sunday,
Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. The guest
speaker will be Mrs. Pauline
Mills Moore of Philadelphia
Penn.
Miss Mills-Moore was born in
Winterville N.C. She is the
seventh of ten children born to
Mrs. Pauline Mills and the late
Simon C. Mills.
She received her education in the
public schools of North Carolina
and the North Carolina Central
University in Durham.
She is Administrative Assistant
to her husband in the Tenth
Memorial Baptist Church.
She holds membership in the
Baptist Ministers* Wives and
Widows Union of Philadelphia
and Vicinity; president, Eastern
Region, Ministers* Wives Auxiliary
to the Pennsylvania Baptist
State Convention; Vicepresident,
Board of Directors,
North Central Young Women's
Christian Association.
In 1980, she was inducted into
the Chapel of Four Chaplains
Legion of Honor.
She is married to the Rev.
William Bernard Moore, pastor
of the Tenth Memorial Baptist
Church.
They are the parents of two
children; Tamieka Nicole and
Justin Bernard.
The day's activities will climax
at 6:15 p.m. with a program
sponsored by the youth departmAnt

held during this period.
The pastor, Rev. J. Ray Butler
cordially invites the public to attend.
Gov. James B. Hunt Jr. has
proclaimed the week of Nov.
12-18 as "Honor Sunday School
Teachers Week in North
Carolina" and has urged that the
thousands of teachers across the
state be recognized and honored.
The governor's proclamation
noted the selfless efforts of the
teachers in their hours of
preparation and commended
them for providing "the moral,
and spiritual nourishment to sustain

"They spread the seed of comfort,
compassion and confidence
in the future,** the proclamation
stated. The text of the proclamation
is as follows:

School teachers in North

Hill Baptist Church will observe
homecoming.
For Zion Hill Church,
homecoming is a reminder of

received his A.B. Degree from
Shaw University and his D.D.
Degree from the United Christian
Bible Institute. Rev. Davis is a
certified counselor at N.C. A&T
University in Greensboro, N.C.
Rev. Cook and the members of
Zion Hill Baptist Church invite
all to come and enjoy fellowship
with them on this special day.
Following homecoming services,
revival services will be in
progress Monday through Friday
at 7:30 nightly with the Rev.
Brown, pastor of the Mt. Gildeon
Baptist Church of Cleveland,
Ohio, referred to as "90 pounds
of dynamite."
