Henry Jones served as master of ceremonies. Doris Moore, president, gave ;*the welcoming remarks, and > Alderman Vivian Burke brought |greetings from the city. ' Music was provided by Bernice H. Davenport, secretary. President Moore introduced Clarence "Jeep" Jones, Winston-Salem State University national alumni president, of Roxboro, Mass. Jones introduced Chancellor Cleon Franklin Thompson Jr., eighth chancellor of WinstonSalem State University, speaker for the occasion.
