Competing at the Paul Derr Track on the campus of North Carolina State University, the Roadrunners had 14 different individuals finish in the top four in ui?u (vein, auuwuig uiciii iu <tuvance to the Region III Meet, July 10-11 at the same she-. In the bantam girls, Tawauna Dubose finished third in the 100-meter dash and fourth in the J . 200. _ The bantam girls 4x100 B-relay team took third with a ? time of 1:06.31. The A team was fourth, with a 1:06.47. r In the midget girls division, Christina Frye was fourth in the 100 and third in the 200. Nikki Webster took fourth in the 400, while Ajila Thomas was fourth in the 200. For the midget boys, Hamilton Cuthrell was third in the 200 and the 4x100 relay team took second with a time of 55.66. Kenya Turner led the youth girls by winning the 100-meter dash in 13.0 seconds. She was third in the 200 as well. The youth girls 4x100 relay combination was third with a time of 53.76, and the mile relay team took fourth with a 4:50.0 Clarence Edwards highlighted the youth boys group by qualifying in three sprinting events.
