fDrive died Thursday, July 2, at Baptist Hospital.
;She was a native of Hartsville, S.C., moved to
'Winston-Salem at an early age and attended the
;local public schools.
* Ms. Reid was a member of Mount Zion Baptist
fChurch, where she served on the Church Flower
*Club for 18 vears: she was a member of the Castle
[Heights Flower Club and a retired employee of
R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. She is survived by five
{daughters, Rosa Richardson, Burnell Brown,
Daisy Watker, Carolyn Reidr all of Winston^? Salem,
and Margaret Sanders of the Bronx, N.Y.;
; three sons, the Rev. Clayton Reid, Rufus Reid and
*Napoleon Reid; one brother, Harrison Burrell; 38
grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two nieces;
'one nephew; one sister-in-law; four sons-in-law;
|three daughters-in-law; many other relatives and
f friends.
V Services were held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7,
at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with Dr. Serenus
f Churn officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen

; George Percy Hairston of 1526 E. 23rd St. died
Saturday, July 4, at Baptist Hospital. He was a
^native of Danville, Va., and had lived in Winston5Salem
for the past 50 years. He was a member of
JrNew Trinity Baptist Church, where he had served
fiasa deacon.
Hairston was a retired employee of St. Paul
ftpficopa! Chiiirdh. He is survived by his wife,
