COOPER Mrs, Dora Abbitt Cooper, 75, of 1901 Longview Drive died Thursday evening, June 23, at Baptist Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Forsyth County and a Baptist. She was a member of [he Amorilla Flower Club. She is survived by a devoted son, Mr. Leroy Cooper of Winston-Salem; a devoted granddaughter, Ms. Felicia Lampkins of Fort Polk, La.; two sisters- in-law, Ms. Mary Ann Darby and Ms. Mattie M. Dentley, both of Georgetown, S.C.; one brother-in- law, Mr. Wilson Cooper of Columbia, S.C.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.' Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 27, at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev, E.L. Clark Sr. officiating. Burial followed in 1; Evergreen Cemetery. Spec. 4th Class Gregory LaMount White Sr., 22, of Hopkinsville, Ky., formerly of Rural Hall, died Saturday, June 18, in Caldwell County, Ky. He was a native of Wilson County, having lived in Winston- Salem for 13 years before joining the armed forces in 1983. He was a Baptist. He was a graduate of North Forsyth High School, Class of 1983, and was named Most Valuable Player for the 1981-82 foot ball team at North Forsyth. He was serving in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Andrea C. White of the home; one daughter, Ms. Aleah M. White of the home; one son, Mr. Gregory L. White Jr. of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William R. White Jr. of Rural Hall; a sister, Ms. Edgwenia A. White of Rural Hall; his father- and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Waddell of Hopkinsville, Ky.; his maternal grandmother, Ms. Mary Hilliard of Wilson; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William R. White Sr. of Wilson; a foster brother, Mr. Sam Cure- ton of Rural Hall; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at Galilee Baptist Church, with Dr. Wamie C. Hay officiating. Burial followed in the family plot in Evergreen Cemetery with full military rites. Third St., Apartment 110-A, died Sunday, June 19, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Mount Pleasant and had lived in Winston-Salem for more than 65 years. He was a member of Cleveland Avenue Christian Church and was employed for many years with Easiside Cleaners before eventually retiring from Fairview Cleaners. He is survived by a devoted sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernice T, Robinson of Winston-Salem; a devoted Mphew, Mr. Willie L. Giles of Winston-Salem; sev- Little Miss Rachelle Renee Turner, 6 months, of 930 Watkins St. died Friday, June 24, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Winston-Salem and a Baptist.
