Glenn, 92, of 1224 Gholston St. died Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Sept. 20, 1895, to the late Mr. Ike and Mrs. Imira Epps Glenn, he was a member of John Wes- k y AME Zion Church. I He is survived by three sons, Mr. Jimmy Glenn 1' Spartanburg, S.C., Mr. Willie Glenn of Detroit Pid Mr. Joseph Glenn of Ohio; one sister, Mrs. nnie M. Moss of Winston-Salem; 16 grandchil- •en; five great-grandchildren; three devoted nieces, (s. Ann Stover, Ms. Norma Tuttle, both of Win- on-Salem, and Ms. Neddie Bell Johnson of Balti- ore; many other relatives and friends. Services were held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 1, at John Wesley AME Zion Church, with the Rev. imes E. Gaskins officiating. Burial followed in i'ergreen Cemetery. Hooper Funeral Home was in large of the funeral arrangements. IRS. NELLIE EVANS LITTLE Mrs. Nellie Evans Little, 82, of Knollwood Hall arsing Facility, formerly of 144 N. Greenwood vt., died Monday evening, Aug. 22, at Knollwood all Nursing Facility. She was. born to the late ibecca and Archie Lindsey on March 24, 1906, in arshville. She moved to Winston-Salem 50 years :o and has lived here ever since. She lived most of r life at 144 N. Greenwood Ave. until her health gan to fail her, when she moved to Knollwood 111. Mrs. Little, who was affectionately known to r many friends as "Nell," was a Baptist and a for- er employee of the Unique Furniture Co. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Joseph R. Samuels officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Russell Funeral Directors was in charge of the funeral arrangements. MR. WILLIAM S. YOUNG Mr. William Steven Young, 36, of 240 Methodist Drive died Saturday evening, Aug. 27, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was known to his many friends as "Known." He was a native of Lan dis, having lived in Winston-Salem for most of his life. He was bom to Willette Davis and the late Ben jamin Franklin Young Sr. on Feb. 9, 1952. He was a member of Moore’s Chapel Methodist Church in Salisbury, a graduate of Atkins High School, Class of 1970, and was manager of O'Malley’s Restaurant. He is survived by two daughters, Ms. Latrice White and Ms. Kaprice Williams, both of Winston- Salem; his mother, Mrs. Willette D. Young of Win ston-Salem; four sisters, Mrs. Jacqueline Hester of Kannapolis, Ms. Rebecca Young, Ms. Frances Young and Ms. Cynthia Young, all of Winston- Salem; four brothers. Dr. Benjamin Franklin Young Jr. of St. Louis, Mr. Martin Young, Mr. Robert Young and Mr. Raymond Young, all of Winston- Salem; one aunt, Mrs. Eddie Marie White of Salis bury; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Vonnie B. Young, Mrs. Nikki W. Young, both of Winston-Salem, and Mrs. Carrie Young of St. Louis; one brother-in-law, Mr. Bennett Hester of Kannapolis; six nieces, two nephews, many cousins, other relatives and friends. Services were held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Mount Olive Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bracey Bonham Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
