Most lower-level candidates do not have the contributor support to open an office nor the volunteer commit ment to keep it open. A headquar ters is crucial to providing a place for our college interns to work and learn about running campaigns. Few campaigns are willing to spend $1,000 to build tomorrow’s leaders," said Robinson. Sandra Douglas, the volunteer coordinator, added: "An office warming party is like a house warming party except you bring items useful in an office." "We expect a good turnout and a wide cross section of people from those committed to our campaign to those shopping for a new senator. There is no question that the broad Li-partisan coalition for change will be present," concluded Robinson.
