MR. RODWELL MELMUS FOOTE

'+ Mr. Rodwell Melmus Foote of Martinsville, Va.,
dtted Thursday, Feb. 9, at Martinsville Memorial Hospi
tal. He was a retired employee of RJ. Reynolds Tobac
co Co., Factory No. 8. He was a member of Chinquepin
baptist Church.
> He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mancy
Wooding, with whom he lived; one grandson, Mr.
George I. Wooding III of Winston-Salem; one brother,
Mr. George Foote of Mocksville; two sisters, Mrs.
(|ertrude Howell of Marion and Mrs. Ethel Howell of
tyocksville; one son-in-law, Mr. George I. Wooding Jr.,
vfith whom he lived; many nieces, nephews, other rela
tives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, at
(iilmore Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Christopher
Xoung officiating. Burial followed in Piedmont Memo
rial Gardens. Gilmore's was in charge of the funeral
arrangements.
MRS. MILDRED FRAZIER HOLIDAY

Mrs. Mildred Frazicr Holiday of 1334 B Gray Ave.
died Thursday, Feb. 9, at Baptist Hqspital. She was a
native of Forsyth County. She was a graduate of Lon
don High School.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Martrice H.
Stinson of Winston-Salem and Ms. Linda Pachecories
of Miami; one son,, Mr. Dallas Holiday of Winston
Salem; four brothers, Mr. Paul A. Frazier of Washing
ton, Mr. James E. Frazier of Westfield, Mr. Lassiter
Frazier of Winston-Salem and Mr. Nathaniel Frazier of
Patrick County, Va.; four grandchildren; two aunts; one
uncle; a devoted friend, Mr. Victor Sims of Winston
Salem; a very dear friend, Ms. Priscilla Searcy of Win
ston-Salem many other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13,
at Kings Mountain View Primitive Baptist Church, with
the Rev. James Strickland officiating. Burial followed
in the Frazier Family Cemetery. Gilmore's was in
charge of the funeral arrangements.
MR. RASHAD LAMONT THOMAS

Williamson St. died Thursday, Feb. 2, at Baptist Hospi
tal.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Cassandra

Watlington of the home; his father, Mr. Ollie Thomas of
Winston-Salem; two sisters, Ms. Brittany Thomas and
Ms. Ashely Fair, both of the home; his maternal grand
father, Mr. James Watlington of Winston-Salem; his
paternal grandmother, Mrs. Beverly Campbell of Win
ston-Salem, and his paternal grandfather, Mr. Ollie
Thomas of Wins ton -Salem.
Services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at
Gilmore's Memorial Chapel. Gilmore's was in charge of
the funeral arrangements.
MR. CURLIE RICHARDSON BAILEY
Mr. Curlie Richardson Bailey of 3662 Carver Road
died Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Oakes of Forsyth. He was
born March 16, 1910, to the late Jessie and Annie R.
Bailey in Darlington, S.C. He came to Winston-Salem
at an early age and was a member of Friendship Baptist
Church. He served as a trustee, on the Senior Usher
Board and on the Sunday school^ He was a retired
chauffeur for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. He was a
member of Olympic Lodge No. 795 and a veteran of
World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sallie C. Bailey;
one sister, Mrs. Ather Charles of Florence, S.C.; two
brothers, Mr. Wade Jackson of Florence and Mr. Henry
Jackson of Lydia, S.C.; three brothers-in-law; eight sis
ters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11,
at Friendship Baptist Church, with the Rev. S.E. Tyn
dall officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
Gilmore's was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
MR. JOHN A. GALLMON JR. ~
Mr. John A. Gallmon Jr. of 2838 Ansonia St. died
Tuesday, Feb. 7, at his home. He was a native of
Columbia, S.C., and a former employee of Paul Myers
Catering Service. He was a Baptist .
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lessie Bracey of
Philadelphia; one brother, Mr. Leroy Gallmon of Wash
ington; two nieces, Ms. Anita McCray of Winston
Salem and Ms. Dorothy Riley of Philadelphia; two
nephews, Mr. Eugene Bracey of Philadelphia and Mr.
Larry McCray of Harrisburg, Germany; two devoted
cousins, Ms. Juanita Staley and Mr. Norman Staley,
both of Winston-Salem; several other cousins, relatives
and friends.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13,
at Gilmore Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in Ever
green Cemetery. Gilmore's was in charge of the funeral
arrangements.
