Friends, family gather to mourn Urica Manning The Ministry for Christ Inc., an Ulliliaie o 1 Macedonia TVPH Church, held a fellowship and memorial service for Urica Man ning. Minister Marleen Joyner and Pastor Nash presented songs of praise. Mrs. Manning is survived by her mother, Janice M. Young, and her stepfather, Thomas Young. She was the daughter of the late Leon Johnson. She had two sisters, Uvette and Umetrice Manning, and one brother, Derrick Manning. Her maternal grandmother is Catherine Manning and her maternal grandfa ther was the late Novell Manning. She is survived by her husband, Mr. B.J. Hall of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Paulcttc Lewis of Winston-Salem; four sons, Mr. Tyrone Posey of Wash ington, Mr. Reginald Hall, Elder Donald Hall, both of Wmsion-Salem, ^ud Mr^ Charles Hall of Philadelphia; several grandchildren; several great-grandchil dren; four sisters; one brother; many other relatives and friends. Gilmorc's was in charge of the funeral arrangements. MR. MOSES KINZY SAUNDERS Mr. Moses Kinzy Saunders of 1106 E. 19th St. died Monday, Nov. 6, at Baptist Hospital. He was a native of South Carolina and a Baptist. He was a retired employee of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and a veteran of the U.S. Army. . He is survived by one brother, Mr. Johnnie M. Saunders of Utica, N.Y.; a foster son, Mr. James McKinnon of Winston-Salem; a devoted friend, Mrs. Doris Anderson of Winston-Salem; many other relatives and friends. Services were held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at Gilmorc Memorial Chapel, with Dr. W.E. Brannon officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery. Gilmorc's was in charge of the funeral arrangements. MRS. LIBBIE MILLER Mrs. Libbie Miller of Lexington died Friday, Nov. 3, at Community Gener al Hospital. She was a native of Linwood and a member of Files Chapel Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Mrs. Florence Miller of Lexington; two nieces, Mrs. Patricia Thompson of Camden and Mrs. Peggy Fuller of Lex ington; two nephews, Mr. George Miller and Mr. Charlie Miller, both of Lex ington; many other relatives and friends. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, at Gilmorc Memorial Chapel, with Brother Robert Seaman Sr. and Brother Darnell Dickcrson offici ating. Burial followed in Lexington City Cemetery. WILLIAM HENRY SAMUELS Mr. William Henry Samuels, known as "Melvin," 54, of 1514 E. 25th St. died Sunday morning, Nov. 12, at his home. He was a native and lifelong rcsi dent of Forsyth County. He was a member of the Full Gospel Pclivciancc Tabernacle and was a graduate of Atkins High School. He was retired from AT&T, where he was a canteen worker. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of Bivouac Lodge No. 503, Prince Hall Affiliation, and a member of the Torrence Family Club. He is survived by a faithful and devoted friend, Ms. Margaretta Jones of the home; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Clowney of Baltimore; one devoted godson, Mr. Ccdric Jones of the home; one devoied uncle, Mr. Earl Howard of Winston Salem; two godchildren, Willie C. Jones of Georgia and Lectrice Adams of )Vinston-Salem; five nieces, among them. Ms. Wanda Russell; seven nephews; 12 great-nieces; five great-nephews; several friends, Mrs. Mary Torrence, Mrs. Dorothy Chisolm, Mr. James Smart and Mr. Gettis Torrence; several other rela tives and friends. Russell's is in charge of the funeral arrangements. MR. JESSIE LEE THOMAS Mr. Jessie Lee Thomas, 74, of Midway, died Saturday, Nov. 9, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Midway and was a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture Industries. He was a member of Brooks Temple United Methodist Church, where he had served as a member of the Trustee Board and the United Methodist Men's Organization. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances B. Thomas of the home; one son, Mr. Sylvester Thomas; three daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Bradshaw, Mrs. Patri cia cotton and Ms. Tawanna Thomas of Midway; his mother, Mrs. Flossie Nel son, all of Winston-Salem; one sister, Ms. Lorene Thomas of Winston-Salem; one brother, Mr. Eugene Thomas of Chicago; three grandchildren, Candacc Thomas, Kisha Cotton and Sylvester Thomas II; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Thcl ma Booker of Winston-Salem; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Inger Thomas; two sons-in-law, Mr. Wayne Bradshaw and Mr. Herbert Cotton.
