The Year of the Eagle During 1990, there will be a celebration of Eagle Scouting in every troop, district and council in America. Through a national and local media campaign, scouting will build on the already high esteem held by the general public for Eagle SCOUTING/USA Scouting In Forsyth County by Carlton Crump District Executive scouting, and demonstrate that it is the quest for scouting's flagship rank that produces legends. The objective of the Year of the Eagle is to involve an additional 100,000 adult Eagle Scouts in active volunteer scouting positions. The Year of the Eagle, with its search for "lost Eagles," provides a superb resource of highly motivat ed, qualified adults for involvement in the scouting. The names and addresses of "lost Eagles" should be reported to the council service center. Look for more information in the coming months.
