I; The owner of Three Girls Convenient Store, Willie A Mc Moore, sponsored the event and plans to continue his participation in the future. McMooi# said that this was his way of giving something back to the community, especially in a capacity where it is very much needed. McMoore added that he would like to see more African^ American -businesses and organizations become involved in simular functions which could ? help more needy children, or the homeless, have a bet ? ter holiday. Any such project, he said, is something that ; African-American people can do for themselves ; because there are enough businesses and organizations ; in the Winston-Salem area to support it. ? I ? ; Each year for the past three years, the Olympic ? Lodge No. 795 and The Queens of Olympic No. 620 has choosen approximately 30 needy children from the Winston-Salem area to participate in this event They all have found the experience to be very rewarding and would like to extend the challenge to other organiza tions in Winstori-Salem to participate or create their own project. # .
