The Winston-Salem Central Lion Ctub was organized In September, 1988. Attorney Cecil Summers was Chartered President and
Lion Haywood Vaughn out going President. Installation of officers was held on Sunday, June 23, 1991, at Shone/s Restaurant.

Government Services Office, 2301 N. Patterson Ave., will
present "Smal Business Financing," with Janet De Creny of
the city's Development Office at 10 a.m.
? "Alive After Five," a free after-work party in downtown
Winston-Salem will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at
Corpening Plaza at One Triad Park, located at First and
Lberty Streets. Music wi be provided by Mystic Knights of
the Sea (Rhytfwn & Blues). The concert is free and parking
is free at the lot across from City HaN and the lot at First and
Cherry Streets. Food and beverages will be available for
purchase. In case of rain, the after-work party will be held at
the Elms located beneath the Cherry-Marshall Parking Deck
at the Marque of Winston-Salem.
FRIDAY, JULY 19
? Project Upward Bound will hold its Annual Summer
Awards Program at 7 p.m. in the Kenneth R. Williams
Auditorium at Winston-Salem State University. Highlights of
the program will include a Drama production entitled "Sorry,
Wrong Number," a musical rendition of several gospel
selections and the presentation of awards for highest
academic performance in each academic discipline. The
event is free and open to the public.
? The Special Populations & Programs Unit of the
Winston-Salem Recreation & Parks Dept will sponsor The
Annual Senior Citizens Bingo Party," from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
at the M.C. Benton Convention Center, 301 W. Fifth St.
