The Winiton-Salem/Forsyth
County Coalition on Alcohol and
Drug Problems is accepting nomi
nations to recognize and reward
individuals and groups for their
efforts in substance abuse preven
tion. Award categories include:
youth (ages 13-23), senior citizens
(ages 65 and over), civic, church,
and neighborhood.
An individual and a group will
be recognized in each of these
categories. The Coalition will
honor award recipients at their first
annual community sen/ice awards
banquet this fall.
The purpose of the Communis
ty Service Awards program is t<
promote widespread communis
involvement in reducing and elimi
nating alcohol and drug apase in
Forsyth County. Awartfwinners
will serve as role models for oth
ers interested in alcohol and drug
abuse prevention. ;
The deadline for nomination is
September 10. Nomination forms
are available at any Forsyth Coun
ty public library or the Coalition
