UL Guild sponsors 34th Ebony Fashion Fair Scholarship Competition
The Urban League Guild,
sponsor of the Ebony Fashion Fatf^
Scholarship Competition, will bring
the nationally acclaimed Ebony
Fashion Fair to Winston-Salem on
November 1 , 1 991 .
The scholarship competion,
which is open to ninth through
twelfth grade males and females,
has been sponsored by the Guild
for the past 34 consecutive years.
Contestants began participating
in a series of workshops about
communications, charm, etiquette,
and personal hygiene in August.
The competion will culminater
Friday, Nov. 1, at the M.C. Benton
Convention Center, with the
presentation of all the contestants
*. during intermission of the Ebony"
Fashion Fair and the
announcement of the winners.
The top three contestants will
receive $1,000, $500 and $300
college scholarships.
